Women play a critical role in agriculture and food security in Uganda. They are the primary producers, processors, and distributors of food, yet they often face significant challenges such as limited access to land, credit, and technology. Empowering women is therefore essential for achieving sustainable agriculture and rural development.
Cosma recognizes the importance of women’s empowerment and is committed to supporting women farmers. Through our programs, we provide women with access to financial services, agricultural training, and market linkages. By strengthening women’s economic independence, we contribute to improved household food security, increased incomes, and better living conditions.
Investing in women is not only a moral imperative but also a sound economic strategy. Studies have shown that empowering women leads to higher agricultural productivity, improved nutrition, and stronger communities. By supporting women farmers, we are investing in the future of Uganda.
