He is the founder and the executive director for Cosma sustainable rural development. He holds a Bachelor degree of Arts in Development Studies from Makerere University.


After the death of his father Cosma in 2003, while he was still student at Makerere University, He embarked on the efforts to help the vulnerable children who were being sponsored by his late father. In 2005 he was able to secure funding from local sponsors to support over 10 children who were under his father’s sponsorship before passing on.

In 2010 he set up a team of his friends to work with and register Cosma foundation as CBO and started soliciting for funding from overseas friends in US. Together with the friends they were able to raise funds to support over 50 vulnerable students in Sembabule district to date.


At the time, Charles had completed his university degree and employed in Capital microcredit-a microfinance company that was empowering local business through providing cheap micro credits. During the period of his employment he used his salary to support administrative costs and scholastic materials for the orphans under his Cosma foundation.
In late 2010, he resigned his full time job to offer full time watch and development of the Cosma foundation.


Since 2010, Charles has worked full time at the Cosma Foundation and grown it into Cosma Sustainable rural development, a national NGO fully registered with development programs helping vulnerable families to overcome poverty and sponsor their own children.
